I’m not going to argue the relative merits of JH and LS —its like arguing the relative merits of the best camembert and the best stilton. Maybe I exaggerated with ‘peer-less’ but if so only because JH is alive.

the peer-less Linda Smith I dispute this: my decision over whether or not to listen to the ‘News Quiz’ is based primarily on whether Jeremy Hardy is participating, given his ability to be astonishingly rude about both Tories and Tories in NewLabour clothing. (New series of ISIHAC, too, though. Christmas comes early to R4.)
