I couldn’t get the Captcha to work. It said there were no TrueType fonts available, even though the plugin seemed to come bundled with one, and the permissions were fine.

First of all, congrats on the move to WP! Secondly, I find that Spam Karma works best if you turn Captcha ON - then questionable posts can be verified by the person. The advantage of Spam Karma over some of the other suggestions listed is that it also works on Trackback Spam. (NOTE: I haven’t yet implemented Spam Karma on Keywords, but I have on some other blogs I help maintain.)

If the entire feed keeps republishing, try unsubscribing from the old feed, and subscribing to the new feed in the sidebar. The old feeds are automatically redirected to the new, to maintain the old feed links, but this might just be the problem.

Try WP-hashcash: I find it works 100% of the time with no false positives. Congrats on the switch: site seems much faster and while we'll miss the multiply posted comments, I'm sure we'll cope.

Praktike asked the same question I’ve had. Using bloglines as my aggregator, I’ve seen the entire feed keep republishing since you made the switch.

Text Control’s special menu to enable post-wise selection of formatting does not seem to be working on WP 1.5 yet. You can contact the author of the plugin and request an update (filing a bug at the plugins repository will be easy).

Spar karma can be over zealous at times. Try Kitten’s Spaminator. I actually do not use any spam plugins, and everything works just fine with me having to moderate only a few comments. Since your site seems to have regular readers, this should work for you, since, if you approve a person’s comment once, all future comments will be auto-approved.

Not quite in the category of things you asked about, but I notice that the “mobile” version of the blog is gone, and I’m one vote for bringing it back.
