There's a slight problem with the current commenting system: comments don't always get appended at the end, they sometimes get inserted beforehand. I assume this is something to do with the moderation element. Anyway, this means that sometimes comments become more nonsensical than usual as the comment they are referring to (e.g. "commment 5" or "the first comment" or "the comment directly above here") gets out of order. Unless you've fixed it recently, of course.

I just attended a meeting on online communities where some people seemed to suggest that blogs aren't really communities. Not to be deterministic, and of course some (many) blogs do not constitute communities, but I think it's fair to say that we've got quite a community going around here. Thanks to my fellow Timberites, our readers, and both occasional and frequent commenters.:)

Would this be a good time to remind everyone of the Frapper map? A new post on the subject could lead to more entries.
