I've been watching the British Comedy "Look Around You," a region 2 PAL, with no problems on my NTSC plasma using a Phillips DVP642 DVD player, for example. You can get one from Amazon fo $60 (or other places, often cheaper). There are lots of other models to choose from. The only catch is that when it arrives you have to use your remote to put in a magic code so that it goes into "debug mode" and ignores all region encodings.
