I'm surprised you linked to the Springsteen low-res promo, and not to the original. The quite fabulous original is off copyright and available for download for all. If you want really to be clever, you could post a Coralized version of a link directly to the mp3. Also, it'd be a natty object lesson in the virtues of limited copyright. Post her up, kids.

This song went over BIG during Springsteen’s extended set at the New Orleans JazzFest last night. The new version directly alluded to Bush’s photo-op in Jackson Square (sorry, don’t remember the lyrics) and subsequent neglect.

As a side note, one of the aircraft-towed banners over the Fairground yesterday said “Impeach Bush.” If it had been up to the crowd I saw at the Cajun/Zydeco stage, he’d be packing his bags!

Looks like Springsteen just used the title. No way can you sing those verses to the tune of “How Can a Poor Man Stand Such Times and Live”.

This was a popular song, a number of artists used the tune and theme but wrote some new words and title.
