Comments on: Saturday morning reading

What is it about financial newspaper? I’m in Australia so I don’t get read the FT but the only newspaper I can bear to read regularly is the weekend and Friday editions of the Financial Review. Does this apply elsewhere? I’m not particularly interested in financial news though I do follow economic news.

Get rid of Tyler? In my household we stump up the £2.50/edition largely because of him. The rest is good though.

I should make it clear that I read the print edition in the US, which is actually pretty easy to come by in major cities.

The Baribeau piece isn’t in the American edition, it seems.

I’m actually pretty fond of the back page of the finance section on Monday, when they’re free from having to cover stories on the market moves of the previous day.

Of course, Gillian Tett alone makes Friday’s FT worthwhile.

And now for something completely different. Have comment threads been scrubbed from older posts on CT? I know there was a link to an article on K. Arrow and Goedel in the comments on Kieran’s post about “The Parallax View,” but I can’t find that thread’s comments, nor the article in question.

Here here! The weekend FT is a weekly treat. It’s a shame they’ve cut down on the book reviews, but there is still a decent amount of them.

In the property section, there’s nearly always an interesting cover feature and I love Secret Agent, with his stories of selling 9-bed Kensington pads and office romance. Though it has gone off the boil a bit over the summer.

Now if only they’d get rid of that pseud on the back page, creme brulee or whatever he calls himself.
