I love Cliff and the Shadows, but guts are not, really, their strong point (together—apart, they have both given some guts, I think, though its not really what they are known for).
Can anyone find the Gerry Anderson marionette version?
I don’t think you can “invent” British rock and roll, any more than you could invent American punk, or St. Patrick invented Christianity in Ireland. You can introduce it to the country.

I can never remember what he did – I see or hear the name, and my brain tries to imagine a Jimmy Cliff/Keith Richards mashup. (unsuccessfully)
