Focus on the followup

Posted by Ted

Blogger Jonathan Ichikawa has gotten an email back from Focus on the Family about their distribution of Michael Moore’s home address. His comments are very good.

Lawsuit insurance indeed.

But for Ichikawa and CT, a good deed done, which may help deter many things, including the repetition of such behavior elsewhere.

Ted - just wanted to let you know that I am an evangelical pastor whose church would fall within the circle of friends for FotF and I disagree strongly with their tactics as do several other evangelical bloggers I have read. I just wanted to point that out so that your readers won’t think we’re all following FotF like lemmings in this. If you are interested in reading a post to the evangelical community from within the evangelical community here’s a link to a post I did on the subject.

Thank you, David. I’ll add a link to your post when I get back to my own computer.

You are welcome Ted - btw - I realize how self-serving it is to comment on your blog leaving a link to mine. I try not to make a practice of doing that, but I broke my own rule in this case just because I think its worthwhile for people to see that evangelicalism is not a monolithic enterprise. There is debate on these matters even within the community.

Just to clarify, was this information in fact already available to the public?
