I took this about a year ago. Where? (It’s not some obscure location.. whatever that means.)
PS. I know the file name says “FallTrees”. I took it in April ’13 in the Northern Hemisphere, go figure.

Not here, I’d guess.

Tuileries Garden? (I’m terrible at this kind of thing.)

@2 My guess was also the Tuileries in Paris.

trees in various seasons, sometimes encumbered with wild grape vines

Central Park, just south of the bandshell?

David, ooh, nice one.
Bill, some great tree shots there! The vines are curious. My preference is for a bit more orderly in some ways (although not in all ways per se). I think this trunk is beautiful:

And I sure like the contrast in this one:

And this one seems to full of life even though it isn’t:

RSA & SusanC, that is the kind of feeling it gives off, I think. I also feel like it could be somewhere in Paris.
But it turns out, Unlearned is right. I took this in Central Park looking south. If you look closely, you can see a building in the background. But I did think overall this was a rather unusual feel for that park.

Oh, sorry Levelnine. Your comment was stuck in the approval queue. You were the first to guess this correctly. It’s not a view of the park that was particularly familiar to me. I don’t usually walk around in that area. Unlearner, you had the specific location right as well.

Thanks, Eszter. The first two are from Liberty State Park in Jersey City, across the Hudson River from lower Manhattan. Those vines are all over the place. The third photo is in Maplewood, NJ, a suburb about 15 miles west of Jersey City. I took it a couple of weeks ago, so it hadn’t yet started to bud.

Isn’t this Literary Walk (which is south of the Bandshell, as I just confirmed)?

I live in NYC and it made me think of Hyde Park.
