Are they flat roofed or is it just the photo angle?
I’ll miss that neck of the woods now all the kids have left uni. No more Port Of Call, and worse, no more Hunters Lodge in Priddy, an amazing timewarp of a place whose landlord, an old caver himself, remembers the Hill Inn in Ribblesdale when it was a wild caver/biker pub rather than (as now) a foodie destination.
The electrical wiring and lines of the hood have such a wonderful playfulness in this photo with the geometry of the facades towards their vanishing point.
