Cool photo! Reminds me of Escher’s Ascending and Descending.

I’ve got a few pics up, too.

Thanks Jake B. I had no idea it was the same Clifton, but it is. The Troubadour was a big folk venue there in the 60s.

Your sense of composition as framing is astounding. The antipodes of the urbane yellow lines diagonally set against the ancient stones opposite is really what makes the picture.

Yeah, this is brilliant. The lines and the use of the shadows on the steps are really fantastic.

I’m not pretending that it’s anything like as good obviously, but here’s a photo I took last summer of some steps.

[extremely off-topic request for the mods]

Dear Mods,

So, I love CT’s book events and I love that you did one for Envisioning Real Utopias. Well, I’ve finally gotten around to reading Utopias (not done yet), and planning to look back through some of the CT essays. I can and almost certainly will go back and find them anyway, but I was wondering if you had any plans to add the seminar to the sidebar list. Would be a big help!

humbly,
js.

Nice. Reminds me of Penrose:

Looks to me how the grid works (or tries to) in the Bronx.

These are brilliant!
The Coulson hall picture would be even better if different reflections of the clock showed different times, but that would be cheating, I suppose.
