Virtual Stoa on Pollard, Browne and cats

by Harry on January 19, 2006

Chris Brooke really is excelling himself these days. First, a relentless (and funny, and good) take down of Anthony Browne’s pamphlet The Retreat of Reason. Then a slightly obsessive-seeming savaging of everyone’s favourite right-wing left-winger, Stephen Pollard. And cat pictures too. Enjoy him while he’s in such a good mood.

Someone makes a mistake? ONLINE??? Who ever heard of such a thing. But…but…but…where is Dan Hardie to leap into the fray and coruscate this fraud for making a mistake and not even apologising for it? After all ‘These facts are easily verifiable…and…ignorance of this sort is just embarrassing.’

And before anyone says anything smart, yes, I know it should have been ‘coruscatingly attack’ or something similar. Bloody return key. Any posts pointing out the irony will be ignored.

I worry that “Enjoy him while he’s in such a good mood” suggests that he’s generally a grump, which isn’t the case. But I agree that the kittens make an already good thing even better.

The links to the savaging and the take-down both go to the savaging.
