I know her as author of the 1974 paper Invisible Hand Explanations. This takes some first steps, largely in the right kind of direction, in an important area of philosophical inquiry which, as far as I’m aware, hasn’t since received the attention it deserves.

I strongly recommend her ‘picking and choosing’ essay (co written with Sidney Morgenbesser), (Social Research 44 (1977): 757-85), its a great essay, examining what do we choose (carefully deliberate about advantages and disadvantages, cost benefit etc), and picking (taking something without much thought). The distinction is important, and it is not obvious which actual choices fall under which category. It is also written with a great sense of humor.
