In a word, concupiscence: enticing purple petal curls enclosing an orange involute invitation: here it is!

Flowers singularly mingle feeding and fucking. Lunch for a bird or butterfly or bee is also intermediated copulation.

My grandfather loved photographing flowers. One summer night he was showing us his latest slides when a bee landed on the screen, the biggest flower ever.
