Wonderful, Chris. Especially the shots of Bristol. But most importantly, *please* tell me that the second shot is of your house. It would make me happy.

Wow, that’s super!

(This is a great series of posts — it’s inspiring me to go out and take some photos.)

Chris A, ha! Well if you mean the adjoining photo in my stream, yes.

Thank you, Chris – I can now sleep happily knowing that you live the life of a Victorian gentleman. Lovely pictures.

Chris–You do the photography thing as a hobby??? That’s a lot of very good stuff.

Totally loving Bill Benzon’s and Donald A. Coffin’s liberal interpretations, so adding one of my own. Cheers!

Thank you Donald. Yes, as a hobby. It is very hard for anyone to make money from photography these days: I know one person who does, and he’s been established in a niche market for 40 years.

Really wonderful pix!

Yes – like most areas of employment, the value of the actual work has plummeted. Stock photos are practically free now, thanks to the big stock houses. And no one pays for photojournalism any more. Commercial photography can still be lucrative.

A fantastic shot, Chris, thanks for sharing. This reminds me that I really need to do a write-up of how 2013 Project 52 went and the follow-up to it. I’m almost four months behind.:(

I have been trading some things on Etsy lately and have managed to trade for some of my photos, remarkably. That is, I’ve gotten some jewelry from others and also some knitted pieces. (Long story… probably worth a post at some point.)
