Sunday photoblogging: Southville reflections

by Chris Bertram on February 8, 2015

I’ve just gone through a big house move and we’re still in the unboxing phase (and I’m desperately catching up at work). As a result, I’ve not wandered round with a camera so far this year at all. But I’m looking forward to exploring the new area soon. But here’s a picture from nearby, that I shot a while ago.

I’m trying to take the camera with me more this year. So far I only have one shot to show for it (also some window reflections, on a cold early morning in Lund):

What is the reflecting surface in the foreground? I can’t quite make sense of what size it’s supposed to be. Which I guess is part of the point. Anyway, that’s really nice.

Yeah, the foreground figures look grotesquely cartoonish in comparison to the brickwork, though the reticular figures in the windows are nearly equally inexplicable.

The reflecting surface in the foreground is a car.

CB, thanks. That was my first thought, but I somehow convinced myself it probably wasn’t a car (something about the shape of what I’m guessing is the hood).

Rrgh! “How extremely stupid not to have thought of that!”

Knowing that makes me like it better, actually.

Shame on you.

Using an e e e e e vil motorcar – in Southville of all places – to produce such a beautiful picture.

George will have to be informed……..

Kind regards
