Mike Donavon was the grandfather of the NFL player Art Donovan!
He also taught boxing to TR.
I think the phto is mislabeled. Wikipaedia says that Mike Donavon was born in 1847. So he is the the guy on the right. It also lists his children, and none are named Mike (though that could be a nickname).
Donovan’s nickname was “Professor,” btw. He wrote a book called “The Science of Boxing,” a popular trope at the time that A.J. Liebling later gave second life to with “The Sweet Science.”
