My abiding memory of Beziers was the number and variety of sex workers standing at intersections on the ring road! You just don’t get that as you bypass Swindon.

There are lovely towns in the hills to the north and west, lots of connections (usually negative) with Simon de Montfort (pere et fils) and the obliteration of the Cathars.

Claustrophobic! And very odd how that old bayed window looks out directly on–a very close window!

And, in the uk at least, that’s why the Town and Country Planning Act 1947 came about, lol.
