bq. Well, I did it. I participated in the glorious process that is the Iowa Caucus. It was my first time, and I was so excited about this down-home version of participatory democracy. What a pile of crap it turned out to be.

All I can say is, what do you expect from the “Democratic” party?

Hopefully the Greens will run another good candidate this year. Even when they can’t win, they can still give the Democrats a good kick up the behind and force them to take better account of Green concerns.

Oh, God. I guess I was wrong about the lessons of Election 2000 as well as Iowa.
