“The problem with espousing hatred of gay people and darkly suggesting they “shouldn’t exist”? It creates problems for homophobes.”

I think it should be “where have you gone…”, for the sake of fidelity to the original…

The Medium Lobster, who transcends time and what lesser beings quaintly refer to as “space,” can be thought of as “gone” only in minds shackled to puny, grublike sensory organs.

Vaguely reminds me of
“Hall’s book is replete with this sort of sloppy reasoning. It should be an embarrassment to the geocentric community…”

(via Pharyngula the other day.)
The lobster may be busier than we think.

I summon thee medium lobster, from the heights of thy power and the depths of thy wisdom. I call you back, I invoke the right of your blessed anger. Let us not walk alone in dark valleys without the fire of thine all illuminating light.
PLEASE COME BACK FAFBLOG! PLEASE COME BACK!

Sanchez should be on the blogroll. Obsidian Wings, too. Oh, and Spencer Ackerman.
Open the pantheon!

I’m surprised. I would expect a “Concerned Woman” named Matt Barber to be more tolerant of such things…

Craftily?

robotslave, imag:
The Medium Lobster may transcend time and space, but Matt Barber transcends logic and facts.

Why must you remind me of this gaping hole in my life? Every time I think the wound is healed, you come and pick at the scab. Damn you, CT.

My personal theory is that the Medium Lobster’s retreat to a higher dimension was prompted by this “piece”:https://crookedtimber.org/2006/08/20/dead-enders/ by Podhoretz pere. A bit like the apocryphal story about Tom Lehrer ceasing to be a satirist after Henry Kissinger had won the Nobel peace prize, because reality had outdone him. How could the Lobster top what Podhoretz was apparently arguing in all seriousness?

Everyone mocks the Concerned Women of America for being, in fact, entirely made up of men. But is that fair? After all, they don’t think women belong in public life. Isn’t it nice, for once, to see someone on the right practicing what they preach?

lemuel pitkin: heh.
