General Invitation

by Harry on February 18, 2011

My understanding is that organizers are hoping for 100,000 at the State Capitol tomorrow. There is also word of counter-demonstrations, which should be fun. So if you’re within a reasonable distance of Madison and can come, you’re welcome. Bring your friends.

I’ll drive to WI to help out in the petition drive, then the canvass, for a recall election.

Compared to Egypt, this is lame. Suppose I wanted to fly up tomorrow. Where do I start when I get there? Shouldn’t I already know this by consulting one of my devices?

Harry, you’ve got them on the run, momentarily. The whole world is watching. Keep at it.

As a 2010 University of Wisconsin — Madison School of Education graduate, a 2004 University of Wisconsin — Madison Honors Philosophy graduate, a son to a retired county Health and Human Services supervisor and social worker, a brother to both a school counselor and an over-qualified middle school Math teacher, a brother-in-law to a health teacher and dedicated coach, mentor and role model to hundreds of young men, and a cousin and nephew to a handful of public school teachers (future, current and retired), I have never been prouder to call myself a 5th generation Wisconsinite.

What a horrible time to move away. With you in solidarity Harry and Wisconsin! Forward!

ps: It should give a reasonable person cause for concern when both <a href="http://www.archmil.org/News/StatementRegardingtheRightsofW.htm" title="God" and the Green Bay Packers are against you.

I wouldn’t count on too many counter-demonstrations. As P.J. O’Rourke noted, “We have jobs.” Drones who call in sick rather than working disgust the average voter.

y81,
What’s your job, that you can be on CT patrol at this hour?

Are you saying that, in your estimation, that everyone who would be inclined to counter-protest will be working on a Saturday? It seems like you’re taking the piss on retired persons and workaday people with Monday-Friday jobs by assuming that none of them agree with you.

Drones who call in sick rather than working disgust the average voter.

Please spend as much time and energy as you have available talking to anyone and everyone you can find about how much disgust conservatives feel toward individuals “who call in sick rather than working.” If you could please specifically use phrases like “right-thinking people” or “good honest conservatives” or “true conservatives” instead of “the average voter,” that would be awesome. Thanks!

“As P.J. O’Rourke noted, “We have jobs.””

F*ck him – the day that he holds an honest job will be the first.
