In that first one, did you have your former cat’s head stuffed and made into a christmas ornament? Creepy…

I thoroughly approve of the black cat / tabby cat combination.

Careful. Kitty tummy snorgleing is an important holiday tradition for some of us.

Our cat has already destroyed three ornaments that were placed a little low and looked a bit too much like cat toys. And she enjoys drinking from the new pine-scented water dish.

(Random music links).

The post’s title immediately made me think of this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Il_PjZsPZuk

While I’m at it, recent puns on Douthat’s name similarly brought this to mind: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RxPMCRcVDhA

The first one looks like she is putting a spell on us.

The second one like she has been caught stealing.

Hi,

Okay, although you didn’t warn us you don’t have any puppies. Nevertheless, have an entirely …

…Happy New 2012 Year!

The black cat obviously has murder on its mind. I would be very careful going to sleep with that feline in the house.

Actually the black cat is a total lovebug, although in that pic she was hiding from me because the combination of jingly thing around neck + me sticking my phone in her face to take a pic was a bit much for her. (Though really, she tolerated the whole experience quite well and came out a minute later.) The stripey cat, poor thing, is a bit more skittish, as you can probably tell from her expression.
