You can download the first issue for free here. You can buy the rest somewhere like Comixology (I’m going to!) or get it from Amazon (although they appear to be out of stock).
The Kirby monster aesthetics is nailed to a T, nomenclaturally, vaguely rhomboidally, lumpily, achondroplasiastico-gigantally, and in terms of underwear staying on:
‘Reigned havok!’
And
And
Nominally, it’s the story of Doris Danger – classic Kirby female flip-do, head tilts and stances:
Lots of nice touches throughout. Serial misuse of quotes and the guy who keeps saying ‘get me?’ while talking to himself.
And the match! That is a classic Kirby solution to the actor’s ‘what do I do with my hands?’ problem!
And the Cosmic Kirby Camera Pullback! In which we can still hear the characters talking down on the planet.
In space, you can actually hear a doorbell ringing. Well played, sir! Well played!
Monstrosis is deserving of the custom of all true believers in the genius of King Kirby!

Needs more Kirby dots. Around the match maybe. . . .

Speaking of which: I demand a Flippa Dippa. The fact that there have been, to my knowledge, no parodies of Flippa Dippa – no jive talkin aquacats! – shows that … well, it shows something. I’m even afraid to say what. (I did enjoy “Seaguy”, on the other hand.)
